Top o' the morning

Wyeth_-_Red.JPG

This weekend was a little bleak. The high point was playing fetch with a border collie. But I felt like I had slipped away from reality in an uncomfortable way.

Not long ago, however, I think I mentioned Mental Health America's most recent report: Ranking America's Mental Health: An Analysis of Depression Across the States. Yesterday Joe sent me an email about that study, saying,

In this day and age, how to make a report on our nation's mental health suspect in one easy lesson: "This report was supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Wyeth Pharmaceuticals."

Ugh. He's so right.

Liz,I really hope that you start to feel better once again. I decided to stop lurking and tell you what an inspiration you are. I don't know whether you increased your antidepressant, and I don't know how your akethesia is, but knowing that you are slipping is surely a sign to get back to the good doctor. I am rooting for you. You are brilliant and beautiful.

I hope you are back to yourself soon...border collies are great fun!

Your impudence becomes you - it wasn't hard to imagine a proud middle finger waving around the big red letters :)

I was on EffexorXR in 2001 and am still dealing with the consequences. No offense meant to any who have seen improvement in their lives from this drug, I simply wouldn't trust this company to tell me the sky was blue.

I understand....animals are very theraputic. Feel better you are special!!:)

As alway your candor helps us all out, I know I'm not much of a lurker since I do comment every so often, but I read you without fail. Even my husband knows what your page looks like, he sees me reading it all the time. His puter is next to mine, seperate but equal (hehe).

Sunny thoughts from Sunny Florida....
