This song sounds familiar

Every now and then I see an article that I could swear I've seen before. Then I realize it's just that we are constantly bombarded with new ideas for "cures" for mental illness, which is okay, I suppose, but perhaps is misleading. While research is important, the reality is that many people can live fulfilling lives in absence of a total cure, in the same way I do, by being in recovery.
That being said, can fish oil be a preventive? Researchers in Australia believe so.

Sounds kind of fishy to me;) However, remember the goal of the writers of the DSM wasn't to make some people sick and some people well, it was to come up with a description of every sort of "mental" concern anyone might have so that insurance would cover therapy for everyone. In other words, it's normal to be mentally ill, or a better way to put it, all humans would benefit from therapy...which might be true if all therapy was theraputic.

Do the pharma companies want to pay for this fish study? How do they measure psychosis?
"we saw that about 5 per cent in the omega-3 group developed psychosis, and there were 28 per cent in the placebo group"
If this is indeed physical, then it no longer mental. Just like Epilepsy was declasified . It would be wild
