R.I.P. Tinsel Spikol

I know it was over-the-top, but I loved this little hamster so much.

Sniff.
I'm sorry.

(and I regret that I wouldn't have known what to do with oversized testicles, hampster or otherwise.)

Awwww, I'm so sorry.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." - Anatole France.

I'm sorry to hear that Liz.

Sleep well little Tinsel.

Liz, I read your blog all the time and I love it, but I've never commented before. I am so, so sorry for your loss. Tinsel was one lucky hamster to have someone who loved him so much.

Great to see you Liz!!
I did a search on hamster testicles and just came up with a website for Tom Cruise.

oh no! what happened to tinsel!!??? I'm so sorry if he died. :(

oh dear i'm sorry. so what's a proper hamster funeral?

I'm very sorry about the loss of your beloved Tinsel. We are all finite beings yet we dare to love anyway. Life & death exist so close together. Lately, I've been feeling rather tender and sentimental and reading about Tinsel made me weep. I will keep you and Tinsel close to my heart. (((Hugs)))

This is sad, Liz - I'm so sorry. I didn't know that he was even sick.

Liz, I am sorry that you have lost your Tinsel.
He brought so much joy to your life....
and it was a joy to see him thru your blog.

Dear Liz, my daughter had gerbils, hamsters, all of those 'pocket pets' gave her at times, her only friend.

Here's what happened when she was away inside a psych ward.

I had to bury her pet for her the way she would have.[click on my name].

Sorry about Tinsel.

I've lurked here for quite awhile, and I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry you've lost him. Our animals do such wonderful things for our lives. I hope you're doing okay, and that he's in a better place, whatever that may be.

Sorry to read of the passing of Tinsel. If it is any comfort it is not the quantity of life but the quality of life that really counts. And since the quality of life is largely a function of giving and receiving love, Tinsel had one fine life.

I'm really sorry about your wee critter, Lizzie. My remedy in this sort of situation is to run right out and get another critter. How about a parakeet? or Two?

Oh Liz, Holly and I send our thoughts, we would have come down and sent a shiva call. Tinsel was a great critter and he is now at the Rainbow Bridge. I enjoyed your stories about him. Thank you for sharing his short life with us.

Take care of yourself.......

Susan
