That is a cute baby and it is fine to acknowledge that a normal woman may experience severe depression after childbirth in our society where raising children is falsely portrayed as only being hard work if your child is mentally ill. Those of us who say post partum depression is not mental illness are not saying it doesn't exist, we're saying it's understandable in our society. Remember Friedan, remember the Feminine Mystique, remember the Women's Movement.
