My skepticism returns

Despite my feelings about the New York Times piece we were talking about yesterday, the below article in an Australian newspaper is exactly the kind of thing that makes me suspicious about diagnosing kids with mental illnesses traditionally associated with adults.

What is your take on the "nervous breakdown"/"breakdown" with the Dancing with the Stars contestant, Sarah Evans? I haven't heard the term nervous breakdown in a long time. What is a nervous breakdown anyway from a mental illness perspective? Sounds like some a good way to get the press to leave her alone right now, which btw, I can't blame her. It just bugs me when people use terms like that so easily.
