Update on a story no one cared about anyway

annanicole470_wideweb__470x352,0.jpg
The mystery death of Anna Nicole Smith's son has, it seems, been solved. Daniel accidentally overdosed on Lexapro, Zoloft and methadone. He was not a heroin addict, so it's a bit of a mystery why he had the methadone. The Lexapro was prescribed.

Oh, and for whatever stupid reason, I did care about his death. Maybe it's because Anna Nicole is so screwed up, and I feel sorry for her, and now she's going to be even more screwed up. Very sad.

Hey LS,

Accidently overdosing is certainly a concern of mine. Meds I currently take -- drum roll, please --include: Lexapro, Buspar, Effexor XR, Remeron, Vistaril, Tricor (cholesterol), Lotrel (blood pressure), Flomax (guy prostate thing), and Betagan (eye drops). At least that's all I can think of at this moment. God know the long-term damage they are causing.

Speaking of damaging effects, my mother recently revealed to me that my favorite aunt -- who passed away maybe 15 years ago -- died of cirrhosis of the liver brought on by polypharmacy, and not from cancer as she always told me. She didn't want to scare me from taking my meds. Perhaps she should have.

Well, I care about Anna Nicole's boy Daniel. My son is around the same age. Her pain must be unbearable.

I can't really say about Daniel, but in the smallish SW Washington town I reside in, methadone has become a popular drug with some of the young fellows - they buy it or steal it from addicts they know. A real sweet boy, 18, died here last year, mixing methadone with alcohol.

If Daniel was taking it to get high, it's too bad he didn't know it didn't mix with Zyprexa and Lexapro. But I don't know, of course, why he was taking methadone...I'm guessing. At any rate, it is a tragedy.

There was something very uncomfortable about seeing Anna and her son inneract with each other. I don't think the closeness was really sincere. During her stupid show, he would pull away from her many times, and you could tell he was embarrased by her behavior.
I do feel horrible that he had to die at such a young age.
For those who think this precious little girl will grow up problem free.......raise your hand! Anna Nicole, a mother figure??? PLEASE!!!!!!

Anna is definitely an odd one, but I feel for her nonetheless - I feel for any parent who loses a child.

I know what you mean ... Anna seems lost and erm, otherworldly in and of herself; heartbreaking that one of her few earthly love tokens - her own child - gets ripped from her grasp.

I never watched her show and I knew little about her son but I still feel sad for them.
