I must speak. I can't hold it in any longer.

Bill Thomas, a Philadelphia Weekly reader, sent this to me. It was, as he points out, also sent to thousands of Comcast subscribers. There are two errors in this mailing, and I just got another one from Comcast, which also has errors in it.

Get a proofreader, for heaven's sake! That would be Comcastic.

As a copyeditor myself, I find the "your" especially nauseating. In fact, I find errors in billboards and advertisements where ever I go, and it's enough to send me into an anxious fit--something I don't need any help with, thankyouverymuch.

With all the money I fork over to Comcast each month, I'd think they could afford a proofreader. Maybe they're hiring. I should check around.

Another copy editor checking in. The apostrophe should also be flipped around.

As another copy editor, I have to say that I think there's no reason for "First" to be capitalized. Also, is the sentence after "FREE!" even a complete sentence?
